In this task we had to create a 2 minute Me-Video. We had 2 weeks to complete the filming and the editing for this task. It then needed to be uploaded on to YouTube by Friday 18th October.

I improved my pre-production skills compared to my first task. In my me vid I had to make a shooting script. Because I had to story board my first task, I knew that the procedure of planning is very important. This is because I can then look at my script and I will know exactly what I was going to film and how long it will be for and what type of shot it will be. Also the script helped me understand how I wanted my me vid to look. So when coming to creating my me vid I didn't have to waste time and think about what I was going to film, or have in a shot.
I improved my production skills. This is because while filming I decided to include main different locations for my shot. By doing this is allows my video to become less boring and a bit for exciting due to the fact that I was not just filmed in one location. Also during production I included green screen. This was my first time using it, and it was not hard at all. I got the hang of it very quickly. It allowed me to talk about a interest I had, which was Nicki Minaj, and it allowed me to talk while pictures of her were in the back ground as I talked, instead me doing a voice of to pictures of her.
I have improved my post- production skills. This is because, prior to starting this task, I got a one on one lesson with a person who had full knowledge the editing software we was going to use. This was I Movie. When coming to editing I have a better understanding on how to import images and videos in. This allowed me to use my time more efficiently, rather than having to wait for a teacher to help me. Also I learnt how to insert image and footage onto green screen. It was much more easier than I thought. All I had to was over lap the green screen image to the video I wanted it to be part of. I would definitely use green screen again because it was a good technique to use to make the video more interesting.
The skill I have learnt thought out the me vid, will definitely help me in making my music video which I will be making in the future. This is because are music video will need much more careful planning. Due to my tasks I have done, I now know how important planning is. So when coming to the music video I will make sure I plan it very well, and not cut corners. Also in the editing stages of these to task that I have done, I have used I Movie for both of them. Because of this I am very confident in editing the music video. This is because I in both task I have found editing the most easiest to do.
In year 13 when creating my music video I will develop my editing skills. This is because I felt very confident in the editing stages in both tasks I have been set.
